Description
Purify – The herbal blend
80% certified organic Italian propolis, 20% organic essential oils of tea tree, thyme and lemon.
When a PropolAir diffuser warms the capsule, the volatile fraction of the propolis is released alongside the three oils. Tea tree and thyme give a robust herbal base, and lemon lifts it with a bright, zesty freshness. The result is sharp and clean rather than sweet.
Of our six blends, this is the one people put in a kitchen. A strong citrus-herbal scent covers cooking smells better than anything else in the range.
Important: room diffusion only
This capsule is not suitable for the Propol Therapy A4’s aerosol programme, or for the adult or child inhalation masks. It is formulated for room diffusion.
If you want to use the aerosol programme, use the Pure or Boswellia capsule instead. Both work just as well for ordinary room diffusion, so many A4 owners keep a box of one of those for mask sessions and use any blend they like for the room.
The facts
- 80% propolis, 20% essential oils. Tea tree, thyme and lemon, all organic.
- Certified organic propolis. Organic under EU Regulation 2018/848, certified by BIOS Srl, sourced from Alpine apiaries and tested free from pesticides, heavy metals and antibiotics. Our guide to what that certificate covers sets out what it guarantees, and what it does not.
- Five capsules per box. Each one runs for up to 122 hours: roughly five days of continuous use, or about fifteen days at eight hours a day.
- Fits every diffuser we sell, for room diffusion. Basic, ioniser, fan, wood, ash and bee-shaped models alike. If you do not have one yet, see our full range of propolis diffusers.
- Room size comes from the diffuser. Most models cover up to 35 m²; the two with a fan, the L3 and the Propol Therapy A4, reach 60 m².
- For use in diffusers only. Not for swallowing, and not for direct inhalation. Always read the label on the box.
About the name
Tea tree, thyme and lemon have a long history as household scents, which is where the name comes from. What this capsule does is fill a room with that scent, and a strong one covers other smells well. It is not an air purifier, it does not filter anything, and we make no claim that it removes dust, pollen or anything else from the air. If you want particles taken out of the air, you want a filter.
Why a finished capsule does not look empty
When the volatile fraction has been released, the diffuser beeps. The capsule will still look between a quarter and three-quarters full, because non-volatile material such as beeswax stays behind. That is normal, and it does not mean you are throwing away a capsule early.
The reverse is also true: a capsule that looks empty after a few hours has not finished. Trust the beep, not the appearance.
How to use them
- Insert one capsule into your diffuser.
- Switch the diffuser on. On the Propol Therapy A4, choose the room programme, not the aerosol programme.
- When the diffuser beeps, replace the capsule and reset the diffuser.
Each capsule is for single use. Always check your diffuser’s manual, which is the final word on settings.
The other five blends
Every blend fits every diffuser for room use, and all six last the same 122 hours. The difference is what the room smells like.
- Pure — propolis on its own, nothing added. A quiet honey-resin note, and suitable for the aerosol masks.
- Boswellia — propolis with Boswellia resin. Warm and balsamic, and also suitable for the masks.
- Breath — eucalyptus, mountain pine and spruce. A cool, resinous pine-forest note.
- Relax — lavender, Arolla pine and sweet orange. Soft and floral, for evenings.
- Repell — geranium, lemongrass and peppermint. Zesty and cool, for open-window months.

Before you buy
Propolis is a bee product. If you are allergic to bees, honey or pollen, it should be avoided in every form, including diffusing. Our safety guide covers allergies, children, pregnancy, prescribed medication and pets.
This blend contains tea tree, thyme and other essential oils. Some essential oils are generally not recommended around babies and very young children, so if the diffuser will run in a child’s room, check the manufacturer’s guidance and speak to a pharmacist or GP first. The Pure capsule contains no added essential oils.
These capsules are for use in diffusers and are not for swallowing. This product is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any illness. If you have a medical concern, please speak to your GP or pharmacist.
